Pop-up Displays

As a child, I loved pop-up books. They made a brought the book to life with the
turn of every page. In Disney's Pinocchio when Monstro the whale swallowed Gephetto, I jumped because he leaped right out of the book. That is the point with Pop-up displays. You want the product they are selling to leap out at the customer.

With interaction experiences, some elements stay with you. The pop-up displays
you encounter in retail stores, trade shows, and other such venues, should have
the same lasting effect. A positive lasting impression will always yield excellent
results.

The 3D or Cinemascope movie is the most common form of pop-up displays. The reason is that they jump out at you, just like the pop-up books. Some presentations incorporate screen with a curved styling, which can be used either as a tabletop or floor exhibitions. Changeable designs generally feature fabric or photo columns, header panels, and backlighting fixtures to enhance the standout effect.

Any informational source can be presented as a one-dimensional display, turn it
into stereoscopic, and the viewer becomes involved. Think of it in another way,
if a fifth grader presents a project on the middle ages which consist of his report
and a crudely drawn poster of a castle, this project doesn't stand out. However,
if he presents that same report only instead of a one-dimensional drawing, actually builds a castle out of Styrofoam or some other material, making his visual aid three-dimensional, it gets noticed and probably a lot better grade. The same idea holds true for pop-up displays. They attract attention and leave a lasting impression on the customer.
